Chrome OS Installed On The iPad

Chrome OS is Google’s upcoming operating system based on the solid foundation of the Chrome web browser and is open source version, Chromium OS. Much has been said about Chrome OS being the OS “of the future”, as it’s entirely based on Chrome’s UI and easy to understand principles. Much has also been said about tablets getting Chrome OS by this fall.

Droplr For iPhone Now Available

Droplr, a popular URL, image and text sharing service for Mac, has just released its first official iPhone client in the App Store. For those who don’t know what Droplr is, think of it as some sort of CloudApp with a different web app, more keyboard shortcuts, custom domain capabilities and note-sharing options. Read more

Looking at an OS dump doesn’t always translate to the final live interaction and exploration experience but it does offer tantalizing hints as to what is to come and what will be possible for those willing to start programming and hacking. In this case, Apple TV’s sneak peak provides two promises. First, that the system itself will be somewhat customizable and programmable for people who wish to extend its use beyond the built-in features. Second, that we’re looking at the future of OS X installs. Apple TV’s iOS shows that non-mobile devices without touch screens can leverage iOS’s newer, more modern frameworks without sacrificing general computability.

Meet Cloudette, A Free CloudApp Client for iPhone

Together with Dropbox, CloudApp is another tool I couldn’t work without anymore. Originally developed as Mac-only sharing utility by the Linebreak guys, CloudApp eventually evolved to have a full-featured web interface and an API for developers to plug into and create unofficial clients. Thanks to this integration with 3rd party applications, some great pieces of software like Courier for Mac, Weet and Prizmo for iPhone gained CloudApp uploading capabilities. Not to mention Cloud2Go, the first unofficial (and paid) CloudApp client for iPhone.
