I talked about myPhoneDesktop 1.5 for iPhone and iPad a few hours ago, and here comes a dedicated Chrome extension to force me to cover the app once again. This extension is simple and powerful: all you have to do is sign in through the web interface and start sending links, pictures or text to your device.
The extension supports multiple copied items at once: if you try to send a link, text and image at the same time you’ll be asked if you want to keep the extension window active to select the items you want to forward to the iPhone. It’s really great, and it lets you speed up your workflow by not needing to use a standalone desktop application.

Just when I thought I was done with mobile Flickr clients (ok, they’re not as popular as Twitter client, but they’re popular) here comes a new app I’ve just discovered forcing me to re-enter my Yahoo! credentials all over again. Portfolio To Go is a rather minimal and simple which, once given permissions to access your account, lets you quickly check on your profile and photosets. All you get is a “wall” main screen, where you can see all your photos organized in sets, and you also get nice thumbnail previews. Read more

When it comes to quickly sharing any kind of information between my desktop browser and the iPhone, I have one and only favorite tool of choice: myPhoneDesktop. What this app does is simple, yet effective: it allows you to share links, text, images, phone numbers and maps from your browser to the iPhone (or iPad, it’s universal) in seconds. The guys over at iLounge have been doing a little digging into their new iPod nano and they have discovered that it contains a secret diagnostic mode called iTerm. If you fancy a peek, then you need to reset the iPod by pressing and holding the sleep and volume down buttons until the Apple logo appears. Once that happens, you have a choice. If you want to enable Disk mode, which will give you a retro iPod black and white screen, and, as the name suggests, makes the iPod visible to a computer as an external USB drive, you need to hold down both volume buttons during the reset.
