Reuters is reporting that a note from Citibank analyst Chang Kaiwei claims that Apple’s manufacturing partner Foxconn and parent company Hon Hai may raise their prices to all of their customers for devices such as the iPhone.

“There’s An App For That” Now An Apple Trademark
Perhaps you’ve heard of this one before: “there’s an app for that” is the tagline Apple and basically everyone on the internet have been using since the App Store’s launch in 2008 to describe the app-focused nature of the iPhone. Lost in the traffic? There’s an app for that. Gotta upload an image to show off to your friends on Twitter? There’s an app for that. And so on.
Now the tagline is Apple’s trademark, website Trademarkia reports. Filed by Apple in December 2009, the trademark covers “Retail store services featuring computer software provided via the Internet and other computer and electronic communication networks; retail store services featuring computer software for use on handheld mobile digital electronic devices and other consumer electronics” and is filed under the Advertising category.

Q4 Predictions: 4 Million Macs Sold?
Apple’s Q4 earnings call is scheduled for next Monday, and analysts contacted by Fortune already predicted 6 million iPads sold, blockbuster sales of 13 million units for the iPhone 4.
Now on to the Macs: according to the majority of analysts polled by Fortune, Apple sold more than 3.8 million Macs in Q4, thanks to the Back to School program, weak PC sales and new desktop models released in July.
iOS 4.1.1 Coming This Week to Fix Alarm Clock Bug, Jailbreak Hole?
Jailbreakers, it’s time to backup your SHSH blobs again: according to a report from ZDNet, Apple has a software update ready to fix the annoying alarm clock bug discovered a few weeks ago, and it should come out “soon”.
The bug was first discovered on Sunday morning after daylight savings kicked in for New South Wales, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, South Australia and Tasmania. Unless otherwise configured, most iPhones automatically adjusted to daylight savings and moved an hour forward. However, due to a glitch in the iPhone’s alarm clock application, any recurring alarms set to go off on multiple days, such as a weekday alarm, would go off an hour earlier than the time set.
What Does a CDMA iPhone Mean for Apple? A 500 Million People New Market
Tech pundits, blogs and media have been discussing about a Verizon iPhone for years. Since 2007, actually, when the first iPhone came out. According to the latest rumors we heard earlier this week, though, Apple is not working on a Verizon iPhone: it’s working on a CDMA iPhone that, among others, will support Verizon.
CDMA is a technology that’s deeply used in the US, not that much in Europe (do we have any CDMA providers here, fellow Europeans?) - an awful lot in Asia. Of course a Verizon iPhone would mean another huge round of possibilities and success for Apple in the US (the Verizon iPhone is now some sort of a myth), but what about other countries? If you think about it, it would make perfect sense for Apple to release an updated version of the iPhone 4 in January (together with an iPad 2 announcement, perhaps) to work on all international CDMA carriers, and not just Verizon.
